Mac OS X dialup setup

These instructions will help customers with Mac OS X only. If you have any other version of Mac OS installed, please look at the other directions available on our Technical Support web site. 

Requirements:
Mac OS X Installed and working properly.
28.8 modem or higher installed and working properly.

These instructions are a 'rough draft'. More detailed instructions are to follow

Open the Network control panel: Click on the System Preferences item on the Dock (or go to the Apple menu and click on System Preferences) then click on Network in the Internet & Network section.

At the top of the Network control panel, choose Location: Automatic and Show: Internal Modem.

Click on the TCP/IP tab.

Choose Configure: Using PPP.

Domain Name Servers and Search Domains are set automatically.

Click on the PPP tab.

Enter the following information:

Service Provider: up.net

Telephone Number: (Check profile sheet for your local dialup number)

Account Name: (Check profile sheet)

Password: (Check profile sheet)

Check the Save password box.

Click on PPP Options.
Make the following changes under Session Options:

Check Connect automatically when needed (or starting TCP/IP applications - depends what version of OS X you have ).

Check Disconnect if idle for ## minutes ( enter a number of minutes; your connection will terminate automatically if there is no activity - You can uncheck this option, it's your choice ).

Click OK.

Click the Apply Now button at the bottom of the Network control panel.

Close System Preferences.

Now your all setup to go online. :)
