Congratulations to Ginger and her handler on taking 4th place and also finding her forever home!
Piper’s Rescue Ranch Trainer Challenge is a horse training competition where trainers choose rescue horses from Piper’s Rescue Ranch and work with them over 100 days, ending in a finale at 11:00 EST on July 21st, at the UP State Fairgrounds in Escanaba, MI. This challenge gives rescued horses a second chance at finding “forever homes” through the training they receive. In Escanaba, the horses and trainers will display their skills as a team and be judged. Spectators will have a chance to vote on their favorite horse and trainer. This will be a huge event with food, music, and fun for all ages. After the competition, the horses will be auctioned off (starting bid $200) and go home with their new owners to start their new lives. Proceeds will go back to Piper’s Rescue Ranch to help other horses in need. Potential bidders/adopters MUST be preapproved by filling out an adoption form. You can find out more information by posting inquiries on or messaging Piper’s Rescue Ranch (Piper’s Place) on Facebook. You can also see updates of the teams’ progress on the Trainers Challenge Facebook page.
One of our fellow Baraga Telephone employees is participating in this competition. She and her rescue horse, Ginger, together known as “Team Spice Girls”, encourage you to get involved. Please consider bidding on or adopting a horse, becoming a sponsor or donor, or even just spreading the word. Let’s help Ginger find a home. If you have any interest in Ginger or questions about her story, please like Coppler Farm on Facebook and send a message.
Some of the proceeds will go to the Rainbow House who help battered women and children.
